Hi, I'm Sid and I'll be one of your International Reps this year, here to make the college a more relaxed and fun place for us international students.
I'm a 2nd year Physics student from Calcutta with exquisite 'international' tastes - my favourite food is Biriyani, my favourite film is La Haine, and my favourite band is ABBA. In my free time, you can find me at a pool table, complaining about colonial hangovers, internship applications, or the declining quality of Star Wars lego sets.
We know it's not easy living abroad and away from family, quite often for the first time. So to help you feel more at home, we organise socials and film nights that give everyone a chance to share their culture, while experiencing Britain's own (reads: we once brought shortbread to the Film Night). Outside of events, we're around to listen, help, and raise your concerns to the college, making sure your voice is always heard.
