Hi, I'm Ben, a 1st year English student from the West Midlands. I applied to Hugh's because of the community, gardens, and location, and I have not been disappointed—I have never felt as truly at home as I do at college, and I hope I can make it even better through the JCR! Outside of college, and when not diligently attending my lectures, I'm part of WhoSoc and also a stalwart runner at University Parks Parkrun (because I love a good 9am start!). I'm looking forward to organising a load of events this year, from the Queer Formal in February to Pride celebrations in June; Val and I are always happy to get suggestions for events you'd like to see, or to discuss any queer-related issues at Hugh's, so do get in touch!
